Twenty-two-year-old pianist Naomi Kudo is fast establishing a rising reputation for her fresh and versatile abilities as both a soloist and chamber musician. A newly-named winner of the 2008 Gilmore Young Artist Award, Kudo was born in Washington D.C. to Japanese-Korean parents. Since her debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra at age sixteen, Kudo has played in venues around the world including the United States, Japan, Italy, Poland, France, and Austria.
While continuing her attendance at the Juilliard School to pursue her undergraduate studies with Yoheved Kaplinsky, Kudo was named the School's recipient of the Chopin Prize and winner of the 2007 and 2008 Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition.
